The Doge Palace will host an exhibition dedicated to one of the most famous Venetian painters of the eighteenth century, Antonio Canal (AKA Canaletto). The exhibition will expound on the Enlightened century with an overview of Vedutismo, a particular and significant artstyle in the painting sphere.

From Carlevaris to Gaspare Vanvitelli and other artists such as Rosalba Carriera (master of portraiture) as well as the revolutionary Longhi and the birth of Neoclassicism.

The event however chooses to focus on the talented Canaletto, who founded Vedutismo following on the footsteps of the northerners. Canaletto and his role among his peers in the artistic panorama of 1700 and the century as a whole.

Schedule: from April 1st to October 31st from 8:30 to 19:00; from November 1st to March 31st from 8:30 to 17:30.

Ticket Price: € 13. Discounted: € 10 (Available to Students between 15 and 25 years of age, to everyone under 5 years of age, and to all accompanied handicapped people).
