Venice, the Jews and the Europe 1516-2016

Venice, the Jews and the Europe 1516-2016 is a journey of 500 years from the construction of first Jews Ghetto to the hard re-integration of Jews during the ‘900. The exhibit is set up in Palazzo Ducale, composed by 10 thematic and chronologic sections in the rooms of Doge’s apartments. The event has been organised for the 500° year of institution of Jews Ghetto of Venice, the first in the world. The exhibition aims to make know the relations between Jewish quarters and the rest of the city, telling the prohibitions, abuses, conflicts due to the huge cultural and religion diversities between Jews and Christians. The stories of famous protagonists of the history who gives us a detailed framework about all the musical, theatrical, literally of Ghetto. It is an unmissable opportunity to understand how idea of Ghetto has started and developed during the centuries in all over the world. The exhibit is open until 13 of November 2016 in the Doge’s apartments, from Monday to Sunday, from 8:30 until 19. The full price ticket is 12 € the reduced one is 10 €.
