Even, Verona, during Roman rule, developed into one of the most important cities in northern Italy.

It is known as the city of Romeo and Juliet, the city of lovers, this nickname by which it is known throughout the world. Verona, stands on the banks of the Adige River, at the point where the river meets the Po Valley.

Verona has also been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site for its special urban features and artistic and cultural heritage.

What can you visit in Verona?

ARENA DI VERONA

The Arena of Verona is a Roman amphitheater located in the historic center, an icon of the Venetian city along with the figures of Romeo and Juliet. It is one of the great buildings that characterized Roman architecture and one of the ancient amphitheaters that has come down to us with the best degree of preservation.

PIAZZA BRA

Piazza Bra is the largest square in Verona, located in the historic center. The Bra widening began to change into a square only in the first half of the 1500s when the architect, Michele Sanmicheli, completed the Honorij Palace. The Bra began to define itself as a square only in the first decade of the 17th century when, on the southern side, the factories of the Gran Guardia and the seat of the Accademia Filarmonica of Verona were started.

CASTELVECCHIO

Castelvecchio, originally called the castle of San Martino in Acquaro, is a medieval fort located in the historic center of Verona currently used to house the civic museum of the same name. The Castelvecchio Museum is one of Verona's most important museums, devoted mainly to Italian and European art. It is located within the complex of the Scaligera fortress of Castelvecchio, distributing itself in about thirty rooms.

PIAZZA DELLE ERBE

Piazza delle Erbe is the oldest square in Verona and is located above the area of the Roman Forum. In 2012 it was considered the most beloved Italian square in the world. The north side of the square is occupied by the ancient Palazzo del Comune, the Torre dei Lamberti, the house of the Giudici, and the houses of the Mazzanti; to the west it is enclosed by the baroque Palazzo Maffei. The northwestern part of the square was the area of the Roman Capitol, while along the southern side one encounters the house of the Merchants.

PONTE PIETRA

The Ponte Pietra is Verona's oldest bridge over the Adige River, the only one remaining from Roman times. It survived several floods and was blasted during World War II by retreating German soldiers.

The bridge is located at a point that from prehistoric times must have presented a passageway, that is, a key meeting point between several routes of communication to which the birth of Verona is due.

In addition to the historic center, many experiences can be organized inland and at LAKE GARDA.

Boat rides, E-bike tours with private guide, local wine tasting in a beautiful Cantina, Vespa or quad bike tours, horseback riding and much more.
