jazzThis summer a succession of different concerts will take place on the most beautiful city of the world!

To begin, on July 12th 2010, the famous stylist Pierre Cardin will propose you to have a sneak preview of his new production: a musical called "Casanova, loves and deceits in Venice". The supervision has been put into the hands of Rodrigo Basilicati who imagined the traditional Opera with signed costums of the designer.

On July 16th the french singer Charles Aznavour will enchant you with his new album registered with the Clayton Hamilton Jazz Orchestra called "Aznavoice". The reference to Frank Sinatra is obvious and his long carrier gives him the elegance that all the Jazz singers have.

From July 23rd to August 01st the program will be very varied, you will have the possibility to see concerts, workshops, expositions and readings in the most lovely places of the town.

The inauguration of the Venice Jazz Festival has been given to the Pat Metheny Group one of the most import group of the last twenty years who won 7 Grammy Awards the one after the other. The other expected concert is the one of Norah Jones on July 24th who presents to the Italian public her new album "The Fall". This album represents a new sound experimentation with many other artist like Jacquire King (King of Leon, Tom Waits and Modest Mous), Ryan Adams and Will Sheff of the Okkervil Roder, but also her historical partner Jesse Harris.

On July 29th another important name of the international music will perform at the Opera House of the city Il Teatro della fenice: Paco de Lucia, virtuous genius of the flamenco guitar. The artist will present you his new album "Cositas Buenas" to feel the traditional spanish music with new variations of the Jazz of Chick Corea, Al Di Meola and John MacLaughlin.
Campo dell'Erberia, Peggy Guggenheim Collection, San Servolo Island and many other locations will receive international masters during the event.

It's a festival you must live each day and each night with many free entrances!!!
