A nineteenth-century portrait on display at Ca' Pesaro
Until April 1, 2024 faces and characters of the Venetian nineteenth century will parade at the International Gallery of Modern Art of Ca' Pesaro, telling the story of the first century of the contemporary age through portraits that take us back to an era of changes and revolutions that contributed to build our present.
A long list of authors such as Francesco Hayez, Pompeo Marino Molmenti, Michelangelo Grigoletti, Natale Schiavoni, Giacomo Favretto or Ludovico Lipparini, have masterfully portrayed families, intellectuals, artists, patriots, women, thus handing them over to posterity.
